Watercolor in Reverse

Class Description

Watercolor in Reverse Create one large-scale watercolor painting using the negative painting technique, you’ll learn how to build your image by painting around your subject to create depth and layered complexity. During class we will plan your composition from initial concept to framing, and paint with a focus on value, transparency, and intentional layering. Some painting time might be needed outside of class. Some watercolor experience is recommended. Students will provide their own supplies including watercolor paint, a large sheet of 22x30” watercolor paper and a frame, no supplies are included in this class. Register through the Glenview Park District.
